CLUBS IN WARRNAMBOOL RECEIVE FUNDING BOOST

Nineteen local sporting organisations in Warrnambool and district have been awarded grants up to $2500 from the Victorian Health Promotion Foundation (VicHealth) to train volunteers, purchase essential sports equipment, for injury prevention and management equipment, and portable sun shade.
Premier and Member for South West Coast Denis Napthine said the grants were designed to get more people in the community physically active and to support smaller regional and rural clubs that sometimes need extra support.

GET INVOLVED IN YOUTH PARLIAMENT
26th March, 2013
For three days in July, young Victorians will find themselves sitting in the seat of power, raising issues and making recommendations that may subsequently influence legislation, as part of this year's Victorian YMCA Youth Parliament.
Premier and Member for South West Coast Denis Napthine said the Youth Parliament would give 120 young people aged 16 to 25 the opportunity to be in the driving seat and have their say.
